The global shipping situation is being called a global crisis, and United States president Joe Biden has now intervened to try and save Christmas.
The first intervention is for Los Angeles ports will be able to run 24/7, and for retailers Target, Walmart and others to expand their overnight operations.
It's hoped the measures will revive supply chains in time for the holidays.
