Aucklanders can expect to move out of lockdown into the Covid-19 traffic light system in just three weeks, after Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern all but promised the move.
She says there is a "strong expectation from Cabinet" that the city will ease to the red light from December - and that decision will be made on 29 November.
It's giving some Auckland businesses and residents a sense of certainty and hope, as they look forward to shops, museums and art galleries re-opening tomorrow.
