A leading scientist is warning that New Zealand needs to keep a close eye on the border as the Covid-19 Omicron variant spreads around the world.
Professor Mike Bunce, the Principal Genomics Scientist at the Institute of Environmental Science and Research said Aotearoa is well-placed to deal with the new threat.
And as as the variant spreads, we will understand more about it - and about how vaccinations respond to it.
