Covid-19: Principals want access to RATs

Principals are fuming that schools won't have ready access to rapid antigen tests to keep their doors open during the Omicron outbreak.

They're urgently asking to be included in the government's test-to-work scheme, which would allow teachers who are close contacts to return to work if they return daily negative rapid antigen tests.

Secondary Principals Association president Vaughan Couillault and Tai Tokerau Principals' Association president Pat Newman spoke to Susie Ferguson.
