People can expect Covid-19 restrictions to ease in about six weeks when Omicron is expected to peak.
While the Prime Minister has not a given a date for the end of restrictions, she says once the country is over the peak of the Omicron outbreak, it will consider dropping down traffic light settings, vaccine passes will no longer be needed and mandates will be eased.
Professor Michael Baker describes that as a sensible and measured approach.
