Vehicle access to Auckland Domain remains closed due to a small number of anti-mandate protesters setting up camp and refusing to leave.
They moved there after Saturday's harbour bridge march organised by the Freedoms and Rights Coalition, which saw thousands cross the bridge on foot.
A protester in a video claimed to have mana whenua status, saying they were occupying a pā site at the domain.
But Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei, the tangata whenua of central Auckland, says protest action against vaccination and mandates is in "direct opposition" to their values.
Auckland Mayor Phil Goff spoke to Corin Dann.
