Fiery exchanges have been traded at the decision-making table, as Auckland Councillors voted to send out a new parking strategy for public consultation.
The proposal to remove roadside parking to create space for carpooling, bus and cycle lanes, covers only three percent of the city's roads over the next decade.
The motion passed 13 to 10, meaning it'll be open to public feedback until the end of the month.
