The meat sector believes the European Union may not be a land of milk and honey when it comes to New Zealand beef and lamb exports.
The sector is concerned at reports of a "poor quality" access offer being made to negotiators from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
There may not be a lot of time to sort it out as the agreement is supposed to be signed off by the end of June.
