The brand new Police Minister says he has a plan to give the front line officers more pratical powers, amid rising violence and gang tensions.
It's been just over a week since Chris Hipkins took over as Police Minister in a Cabinet reshuffle.
The Minister told Morning Report he will have a plan on new changes for police within a couple of weeks.
