Air pollution killing thousands annually

New stats show Invercargill is the deadliest place in New Zealand when it comes to air pollution - it's more dangerous than larger cities.

A study that has shocked scientists has found air pollution kills about 3300 people each year - with vehicle emissions responsible for two thirds of those.

That's nearly ten times the road death toll.
