Weather update with NIWA meteorologist Chris Brandolino

It's a wet day for Aotearoa with heavy rain expected to bucket down over the west of the country today. Metservice says that wet front will be slow moving over the North Island tomorrow and Wednesday. Heavy rain watches are in place for Richmond Range, Bryant Range, the Rai Valley and the Tasman Mountains until about midday today. In the North Island, the watches are for Mt Taranaki this morning, and the Bay of Plenty from late tonight until Wednesday. NIWA meteorologist Chris Brandolino joined us.
