From Morning Report, 7:41 am on 3 October 2022

The remains of more than 60 Māori and Moriori have finally been returned, after more than 70 years of appeals and negotiations.

Many of the kōiwi had been stolen by a notorious Austrian grave robber, and held for more than a century in a museum in Vienna.

Jamie Tahana was at Sunday's ceremony in Te Whanaganui-a-Tara.
