More than a month's worth of rain is set to lash the West Coast in coming days.
MetService has warned more than 500mm of rain is expected to accumulate about the West Coast ranges through to Thursday morning.
Orange level warnings are in place in parts of the mainland, with an upgrade to red still a consideration.
