Ratings records were shattered on Saturday night for the women's Rugby World Cup final, which was won in thrilling fashion by the Black Ferns.
More than 1.2 million people tuned into TV Three for the final, which according to its parent company, Discovery, was nearly two-thirds of New Zealand's total TV audience.
And overseas, millions are understood to have watched the live coverage from the United Kingdom.
The Rugby World Cup tournament director Michelle Hooper spoke to Māni Dunlop.
