Health recruiter inundated after immigration settings change

The phones are already running hot for nurses, doctors and midwives who want to move to New Zealand, taking advantage of a new straight to residence pathway.

The government has expanded the straight to residence visa pathway to help entice medical professionals to the country, plugging massive gaps in the health system.

Accent Health Recruitment founder Prudence Thomson has experience bringing people to New Zealand to work in the health system.

She was on dozens of calls on Monday to people looking to relocate to New Zealand.

She spoke to Kim Hill.
