National's leader Christopher Luxon is pledging to be much bolder, if elected, than the incremental approach favoured by his forerunner, John Key.
The full details of his bold plan remain scant though - with National's policy manifesto still slender.
The former Prime Minister, Bill English, once described both his and Sir John's style as "incremental radicalism" - that is, the gradual building and maintaining of support for policies over time.
RNZ's deputy political editor Craig McCulloch sat down with Luxon for an end-of-year interview and asked whether he too considers himself an incremental radical.
