Two weeks after the Interislander ferry Kaitaki broke down off the coast of Wellington, its sister ship the Aratere broke down while entering the Tory Channel destined for Picton yesterday afternoon.
The Aratere lost all power for a short period of time, but the ship was restarted and made its destination safely.
Interislander executive general manager Walter Rushbrook spoke to Corin Dann.
