Roads are finally starting to reopen across cut off parts of the country after the destruction from cyclone Gabrielle
The entire perimeter of the Coromandel peninsula is now drivable - and the Napier-Hastings Expressway also reopened last night
But State Highway 5 between Napier and Taupō is covered in debris, and State Highway 35 is worse still.
