The Defence Force has more than 700 people providing aid and support to those in regions hit by Cyclone Gabrielle.
Navy vessels have been delivering food and other supplies to communities on the East Coast that are otherwise inaccessible, while helicopters and convoys of Unimogs have also been to hard to reach places.
