After three years of Covid-19 disruptions, almost 2000 triathletes will put their bodies on the line for the 2023 Ironman in Taupō this weekend.
The race is expected to attract about 1800 athletes from home and abroad - and thousands of supporters.
It'll also be 12-time winner Cameron Brown's 25th - and last - time competing in the event.
Event organiser Wayne Reardon spoke to Corin Dann.
