From Morning Report, 8:26 am on 17 April 2023

Being told to have children as soon as possible is the reality for many women with endometriosis.

A new RNZ In-Depth series, The Deadline is lifting the lid on how endometriosis changes women's lives and in particular planning for parenthood.

Endometriosis is an inflammatory disease, where tissue like the endometrium is found in other places outside the uterus.

It's estimated that one in ten women get it and about a third of those with endometriosis will have trouble falling pregnant.

RNZ's Charlie Dreaver reports.
