More and more junior doctors 'ghosting' as they leave the country before completing specialist training.
The Association of Salaried Medical Specialists puts the loss rate at 40 per cent, it was just 16 per cent a few years ago.
The union's executive director, Sarah Dalton, said it's partly happening because a flawed system is relying on young doctors from overseas, who never intend to stick around.
