Auckland is in a state of emergency this morning as the city cleans up after its latest torrential rain.
Yesterday's storm flooded streets and some homes and brought traffic to a standstill as schools closed early and thousands of people headed home to safety.
The city was spared a second round of even heavier rain that was due late afternoon but even so people are feeling fed up and tired.
