The great-grandmother tasered by New South Wales police at her nursing home last week has died.
95-year-old Clare Nowland, who had dementia, was hospitalised in a critical condition after falling and fracturing her skull during the confrontation with officers.
She died "peacefully" in hospital last night. Police previously said they had been called to the facility and found Mrs Nowland holding a serrated steak knife and using a walking frame before the taser was deployed.
A 33-year-old constable has been charged in relation to the incident ABC's Murray Olds spoke to Morning Report.
