Spain's Prime Minister, Pedro Sanchez has made a surprising move calling a snap election in July.
It closely follows local elections held over the weekend, which saw the ruling Socialist Party do poorly.
Mr Sanchez says the the results of the local elections are the driving reason for dissolving Spain's parliament early.
