Wellington has marked the arrival of the FIFA Women's World Cup to Aotearoa with a special welcome.
A giant football has been placed over the 'O' on the Wellington 'blown away' sign near the airport, perfectly placed for fans and guests to get into the spirit.
The capital will host nine of the 64 games scheduled for the tournament, including a quarter-final.
