Te Pāti Māori wants to remove GST from all kai and make the first $30,000 of income tax free.
It would also ramp up the top tax rates to 42 and 48 percent for income over $180,000 and $300,000 respectively.
There'd also be taxes on wealth, undeveloped land and higher company tax.
Te Pāti Māori co-leader Debbie Ngarewa-Packer spoke to Ingrid Hipkiss.
