The Spanish football team has bailed out of its Palmerston North base and will spend the remainder of the world cup in Wellington.
Despite the town's very large square, premier miniature railway, clock, and plaza - the Spaniards reportedly said it was too boring.
It's not the first time the visitors have put their foot in it. A fortnight ago, the team's captain formally apologised to Māori for appearing to mock the haka.
