A coroner has described how the precarious working conditions of two young provincial men at a leading labour-hire company ended in a double fatality.
Floyd Harris and his passenger Jake Ginders died in a crash on State Highway 2 in Manawatu near Woodville in 2019.
Both men only had their learner's licences, and faced low pay, insecure hours, early starts, and a long commute at labour-hire firm AWF.
The Coroner's findings out today say AWF failed them - and other employers of vulnerable young people must beware.
Phil Pennington has been covering the case, since February.
