The mother of an 11-year-old killed in a bus crash on Mt Ruapehu has told a court of her anguish at losing her daughter.
Ruapehu Alpine Lifts was operating the shuttle bus that overturned after its brakes failed halfway down the steep Turoa ski field road.
The company pleaded guilty earlier this year to health and safety charges and appeared in the Waitākere District court yesterday for sentencing.
