Three unlikely bedfellows have joined forces - calling for urgent action over what they say is an exploding population of browsing pests across the country.
Federated Farmers, the New Zealand Institute of Forestry, and Forest & Bird have written to all the major political parties, calling for increased and targeted funding.
They say controlling the large mobs of wild deer, goats, pigs and wallabies is vital for both the economy and the environment.
