1.20 Billy Bragg
After almost three years of cancellations and postponements Billy Bragg is returning to NZ to tour.
The English singer-songwriter and activist kicked off his NZ tour last night in Wellington - has two more nights playing in the capital city, and then heads to Christchurch for a show next Friday night 24th Feb before finishing his NZ trip in Auckland performing at the Powerstation next Sunday evening.
Billy Bragg has been a fearless recording artist, tireless live performer and peerless political campaigner for over 35 years.

1.35 We announce the finalist of the Folk Award Live on Music 101
Recorded Music NZ had planned to announce the winner at the 50th Auckland Folk Festival held over Anniversary Weekend (27th – 30th January), but due to the flooding in Auckland the announcement had to be postponed.
So we will announce and ring the winner live on Music 101 today.

2.00 Judith Hill to perform at the Auckland Arts Festival
Judith Hill is on her way to NZ to perform at the Auckland Arts Festival and her show sounds like something you don't want to miss. She has sung backing vocals for Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Prince and Josh Groban.
In fact - Her debut album was produced by Prince.
And when Michael Jackson was preparing his final ‘This Is It’ tour - she was chosen as Jackson's duet partner for the song ‘I just cant stop loving you’
She features in the fascinating film 20 Feet From Stardom that spotlight on the untold true story of the backup singers - which won her a Grammy.

Our guest picking their favourite songs is composer and percussionist Gareth Farr.
After studying composition and percussion at the University of Auckland, Gareth was named the composer in residence by Chamber Music New Zealand at age 25- The youngest person to have held that position.
Gareth has made a name for being one of New Zealand's most prestigious composers - His pieces have been performed by the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra (NZSO) and Royal New Zealand Ballet to name a few.
