1.30 The Nomad celebrates 25 years of Musical Movement
We're taking a trip back to early days of electronic music in NZ - the rise of Pitch Black, Salmonella Dub
When there were outdoor Music festivals like The Gathering, Destinations & Unity.
One of the key NZ musicians THE NOMAD is celebrating twenty-five years of musical movement.
He has just released “Infinite” a ‘vinyl only’ album release, featuring 16 hand-picked tracks representing the best of his music, since his first single release in 1998.
The Nomad - Daimon Schwalger spoke to Charlotte Ryan about the his music and rave festival culture from his home in Westport on the West Coast of NZ.
The Nomad plays two shows in Auckland and Christchurch to celebrate the 25 years:

2:10 Cécile McLorin Salvant returns to Wellington Jazz Festival
American Jazz vocalist Cécile McLorin Salvant is returning to NZ for the Wellington Jazz Festival
She has won many awards, and her third album, For One to Love won her a Grammy Award for Best Jazz Vocal Album in 2016.
Cecile will be performing with her pianist Sullivan Fortner and band on October 26th at the Micheal Fowler Center.

3:30 Riiki Reid & Muroki release new Waiata Anthem - Kārewa
Its Waiata Anthems week - and Raglan based Kenyan/NZ musician Muroki and Ngāti Porou singer RIIKI REID have teamed up to record their first original composition in te reo Māori – A heartfelt waiata for those going through a tough time.
The song was written at a Writing Session with Dallas Tamaira, Pania Papa and Devin Abrams.
