While attempting a deep squat midway through a Disasteradio set in 2012, Luke Rowell tore the meniscus in his right knee. The injury lead to the creation of Eyeliner, a project in rooted vapourwave, a fledgling genre obsessed with nostalgia for 80s/90s capitalism and smooth electronic sounds.
