Jungle is a modern soul musical collective based in London, helmed by Tom McFarland and Josh Lloyd-Watson.

The band found success when the music video for hit-single ‘Platoon’ went viral on YouTube in early 2015. The clip for ‘Platoon’ features a six-year-old break-dancer named BGirl Terra, and the band’s subsequent music videos for both 2014’s eponymous album and 2018’s For Ever are laced with the freshest dance talent from all over the UK.
Jungle recently played a sold-out show in Auckland, and on the day of the gig the core duo of Tom McFarland and Josh Lloyd-Watson sat down with Waveney Russ to talk about the influences behind the latest album and some of the interesting characters who show up to the live performances now their music has reached the corners of the world.
