Hyperpotamus

Equipped with a small red suitcase containing a loop pedal station, a handful of microphones and a tangle of cables, Spanish multi-vocal solo artist Jyperpotamus travels light, but is still a heavy musical force to be reckoned with. In New Zealand for a friend's 50th in Christchurch, the London-based human beatboxer is using the opportunity to demonstrate his prowess at a handful of local shows. He tells Sam Wicks how he got into vocal percussion, and demonstrates his one-man band approach to songcraft.
