The Taranaki Iwi Trust initialled its $70 million treaty settlementat an emotional ceremony in New Plymouth on 7 July 2015. The ceremony - witnessed by hundreds - included an apology by Minister for Treaty Negotiations Chris Finlayson for historical wrongs at the hands of the Crown.
