Kawhia may be a town of fewer than 500 people, 350 in fact, but it has a vibrant cafe and a huge new hotel is being built in the middle of town. The pohutukawa the Tainui canoe first tied up to 900 years is still on the edge of the harbour. And locals say the town is certainly not dying.

The team also visit a small country factory producing fine sporting equipment for the world...the croquet mallets Wood Mallets makes are in increasing demand with the sport taking off in recent years.
