Today, Jo Leach is on the senior leadership team at Lifewise, she's managed peer support workers, and she's a proud mum and partner.
But life wasn't always this way.
Jo spent 12 years of her life battling drug addiction, stealing, lying, getting involved with gangs, ending up with a criminal record 160 charges-long.
Now, she uses that experience to show others the way out.
She joins Emile Donovan.

10:17 The Kiwi rolling out the World Marbles Championship
On Good Friday, in the English town of Crawley. a gathering that dates back to the reign of Elizabeth I was once again held in the car park of a pub.
The British and World Marbles Championship is open to anyone of any age or nationality and attracts players from all over the globe, including here in New Zealand.
At the helm of tournament since 2019 has been Kiwi marble aficionado Julia McCarthy-Fox.
She joins Emile Donovan from the UK.

10:30 From Speyside to Reefton: Scotch whisky expert Gareth Morgan
Gareth Morgan, hailing from the whisky capital of Speyside in Scotland, has had his signature on bottles of Tamnavulin Single Malt Scotch Whisky, worked on the iconic Macallan brew, and managed casking and bottling of spirits for years.
His new challenge is in Aotearoa, as distillery manager for Reefton Distilling Company, making whisky in one of the country's most historic towns.
He joins Emile Donovan.

If you've ever worked in an office, you would know that the communal kitchen is the subject of many an email battle.
Who takes responsibility for the unwashed cups, the sink full of food scraps, or even when the dishwasher is emptied and by whom can all be catalysts for larger workplace disputes.
According to Dr Libby Sander, an assistant professor of organisational behaviour from Bond University in Australia, it can also be an indicator of the state of workplace culture.
She joins Emile Donovan.
