Our pundit this evening is mathematician Dr. Dillon Mayhew from Victoria University. He's remembering Aotearoa's most prominent mathematician Vaughan Jones who died unexpectedly at the beginning of September. He's know for his work in knot theory and was the inventor of a mathematical tool called the Jones polynomial. Dillon is in to explain quite why knots are so interesting to mathematicians, and why Vaughan's work was so important.
