Australia: Parliament rape trial, rates rise, data breach

Australia correspondent Karen Middleton joins Kathryn to talk about the trial getting underway for the man accused of raping former ministerial staffer Brittany Higgins at Parliament in 2019.

Australia's official interest rate has gone up again - with the level now at 2.6 per cent, its highest in almost a decade.

Thousands of customers of the Australian telco Optus are having their official Medicare cards & drivers' licences replaced after the massive data breach that has seen 10 million of the company's customers' data stolen.

And the new Australian government has decided to repatriate 16 Australian women and their children who have been living in Islamic State detention camps in Syria.
