Fonterra has released a record opening milk price forecast. The co-op's forecast for next season's farmgate milk price has a mid-point of eight dollars per kilogram of milk solids. Farmers were paid eight-dollars forty in the 2013-14 season, but the opening forecast was seven-dollars - making today's the highest ever.
