US V THEM - Tony de Lautour
Three decades of art ranging from pop and underground street culture to his more recent interest in typography are canvassed in Christchurch artist Tony de Lautour's first major retrospective.
The painter, ceramicist, sculptor and Arts Foundation Laureate calls the show US V THEM.
His early work investigated issues like identity and New Zealand's colonial history and recurring motifs included lions, kiwi, guns, teardrops, lightning bolts, and syringes.
But his focus started changing about ten years ago into what he now loves to create - colourful abstraction.
