The city of sails is hosting the prestigious SailGP event for the very first time.
Thousands are expected on Auckland's waterfront and out on the harbour to watch a 12-strong international field match race their F50 foiling catamarans.
New Zealand is represented by the Black Foils, featuring the legendary Peter Burling and Blair Tuke.
