Earlier this year we looked at how many overseas films are currently shooting in New Zealand this year. And the answer seemed to be "not that many", or at least not as many as we'd like. But maybe we're not looking in the right place. Because our digitial FX wizards at Weta have never been busier. They've contributed to everything from Avatar and Dr Strange to The Batman and Peter Pan & Wendy. Weta does both Marvel and DC Comics films, Star Wars and Godzilla, Planet of the Apes and Guardians of the Galaxy. And one thing Weta FX do brilliantly, apparently, is fur. There's a whole department devoted to it - and I'm joined by my first ever digital "lead fur groomer", Nick Wilson!
