Coroner says kids shouldn't walk to school without a parent
A Coroner says that young children should not make their own way to school without an adult. Coroner Tim Scott made the statement in his findings into the death of six year-old Gisborne girl Carla Neems who was struck and killed by a rubbish truck in 2017. Andy Smith of the group Living Streets Aotearoa says this goes against the government's position to encourage exercise and health in children.
