Writer and academic Scott Hamilton has taken issue with the name of a restaurant and bar in Akaroa, saying it honours slavery. Mr Hamilton says the restaurant - Bully Hayes Restaurant and Bar - is named after "the most notorious of all the Pacific's slave traders", William "Bully" Hayes.
