Hailing from Haiti the blues rock musician and singer Moonlight Benjamin certainly turns heads combining  guitar riffs, rock and roll chords, vodou rhythms and melodies. At age 18 she left the Caribbean and moved to France where she studied jazz singing and began to dig into her ancestral music of vodou.

It was there her world transformed and she would begin touring with other Haitian artists connecting to rhythms she heard in her homeland and garnered her acclaim abroad as a ‘Voodoo Priestess’.

This concert was recorded live and mixed by RNZ audio engineer Darryl Stack.
