Episode 137 features music from a couple of artists who will be performing at the Wellington Jazz Festival taking place on the 5-9th June including New York based vocalist Alicia Olatuja who is appearing with her band. This episode of Worlds of Music also features an interview with the local ensemble Ponguru who are making a rare public performance. Ponguru’s album is a unique and culturally significant recording conceived, composed and performed by ngā taonga pūoro artist Alistair Fraser and double-bassist Phil Boniface, brilliantly realized by the Rattle Records label.
