The Christchurch City Council continues to waive parking fines issued to earthquake-stressed residents.
The council has gathered nearly $50 million in revenue from parking fines in the past 10 years but announced a more lenient approach after the 2011 earthquake.
Figures showed it had stuck to its word, waiving more than a million dollars' worth of fines each year for the past three years.
And the overall number of tickets issued last year was down as well, with last year's figure of 64,000, half the number issued 10 years ago.
